Just goes to show what a group of young people (within the age of the forum target group) can produce!..... i.e. we don't need our work to be professionally developed. Even with all the effort and comittment we put into this 6 week project we had to really persuade the galleries at every step in order to get anything achieved. Without the ideas, momentum (and workshop attendance!) of group eleven i just worry that the youth forum will stuggle to attract a core group- and this will make it difficult for them to 'take control' in the ways that we have suggested..... Maybe a bit hot due to the number of visitors we had that day?!! I got to say by having the blinds up during the exhibition has given the room so much more LIFE than it used to! and the fact that you can see the space from outside the gallery has really show the potential that the youth forum can have so many opporturnities in doing similar events or exhibitions and hopefully expanding it towards to foyer and even to the outside of the galleries. I think just the very fact that the launch event was so busy really indicates the potential of that space and its really exciting for the youth forum.
